The Apps

Sparky TV Box Apps
2-28-2020

Much has changed since this page was updated, so .....let it be done.

TV box apps can be categorized in the following way.
1. Live TV,
2. pre-recorded TV(Shows and movies)
3. Tools.
Let's look at these, shall we.
Live TV
Live TV is anything happening, TV- wise, here and now. News, sports, that type of thing. Yes HBO, Showtime and it's cohorts have live shows, but are pre-recorded . If it's live on hbo or any other channel and it's a series or movie, it's not live. It's pre-recorded and can be seen anytime on other apps.

Live TV is further broken into two types, free and paid subscription.

Free can be found in apps like Livenet, Modbro, Redbox, Live Lounge and others. They work great when they work great, otherwise free is hit or miss. You won't watch live sports with much luck, but if you're just looking for the Hallmark channel you'll be ok.

Paid subs are a different breed and depending on which one you use can be awesome. I won't go to much into which one is best, I use several, it depends on what you watch. Paid subs, commonly known as IPTV (internet protocol television, whew, that's a mouthful.) Paid IPTV has been around for some time but not as wildly used as you would think. The format will be different than you're used to but the end result is worth it.

TV shows and Series
"So, it's movie night, life is a bitch, can I watch a movie or what? So, Sparky, can you make it easy, so easy grannie can do it. Huh, can you do that ?" My answer is, yeah, I can. The real question is, can you ? I've made it easy, you just have to learn a new way and, yeah, you can do it. Right ?
"Which apps are which and which should I use  and where is it again, I don't see it." Easy now, take 'er easy there, Step by step. As of today here are the top apps ala ,I think so.

                                            1. Stremio

This will a lot of information in a short space, so reread and ask questions in the comments. Stermio utilizes downloading from torrent sites and using peer to peer gives awesome results for movies and shows. Once set up it will be your go to and always app. Now 1080p is a given. Stremio MUST be coupled with a VPN. If you're unsure don't use stermio yet. Once you are vpn hidden and are ready to use stremio, then go to my separate link all about VPN and downloading apps like stremio,( page not done yet, later ,promise.)

Several apps are also runs which do the same thing to different degree. Choice is always an option. Cinema, Cyberflix, Morph, Bee and others. One thing to note and remember, apps change. One day you'll be using one and in no time, another.... Wait, what ? But, but, how will I know ? Fear not, brave streamer, ask and I'll answer, it's a hobby of mine.

In summation, different apps for different purposes. In the end you'll only use just a few, you just have to narrow down which ones. The question here is , when you turned on the tv just now what did you want to see? There's an app for that.

Here's a partial list of the apps:

Sportz TV  : Paid live tv

Ks-Hosting (formerly Kodi Solutions) : Pay for live TV

Stremio : Movies and shows, use only with surfshark. This one will be your number one after you get a VPN

UnlockMyTTV – movies and shows, great app

Cyberflix - movies and shows, good back up

Cinema - movies and shows, good back up, has ads.
